In 2015, estimated 400 million people are having diabetes worldwide. Almost 90% of the cases are having case 2 diabetes.

American ginseng (panax quinquefolius) have proven its ability do decrease glycemic responses and to increase insulin levels. This all just because ginseng assists insulin delivering glucose through the cell membranes while giving energy to the cells and by same time reducing glucose levels in the blood stream.

The traditional ginseng, “king of herbs”, which has been used for thousands and thousands of years, especially in Chinese traditional medicine, will effectively improve the symptoms of type 2 diabetes.

Studies are actually showing that around 33% of people having type 2 diabetes are having normal fasting glycemia. This basically means that their condition is all about insulin and/or glucose sensitivity among the cell membranes. American ginseng has huge potential to work on with this sensitivity.

Since getting the blood sugar levels to stable state is a critical goal of diabetes treatment, someday ginseng could make a big breakthrough into the strategies of which kind of treatments patients are given. Researchers are slowly noticing this magic herb which could provide alternative natural cure when treating the diabetes. The exact way of getting ginseng into treatments still remains as a big mystery which awaits a way to be discovered. Yet still so little is known about this herb (specially in this field), which has been used to help with loads and loads of other problems besides diabetes.

The most important thing people should keep in their minds, if one who is having diabetes is taking ginseng, they should be totally sure to inform their doctors about it. Lowering the blood sugar levels too much can be dangerous.
